Fast forward 7 + years of dedication later, I have an exclusive extension clientele, a regional educator position with the largest hair extension brand & a space of my own to call home.

I ignored the whisper, but I felt like it got louder. I had so many bizarre signs that were pointing to switching my career over.

It was crazy leaving a salary job with benefits for starting from the bottom and assisting in a salon but that’s exactly what I did.

Every time I went to the salon, I felt this unexplained underlying whisper to change my career and get back into doing hair. I brushed it off.

Naturally, the progression is to push on & work in an advertising agency.

I set a goal for myself to work at what I thought was the best ad agency in Chicago at the time, Leo Burnett. And that’s exactly what I did.

A couple weeks later, I needed to find a salon my own hair coloring needs.

Once I entered the salon, I felt this instant ‘home’ feeling. It was like my soul felt comfortable. My stylist, Lili, and I quickly became friends.
